The McLean Police Department thanks everyone who came out for National Night Out. The annual event is an opportunity for neighbors to meet the officers who serve them and to learn about crime prevention in a relaxed setting.
Families enjoyed hot dogs and cold drinks, children explored patrol vehicles and fire apparatus, and residents picked up information on house watch, scam prevention, and child safety seats.
Special thanks to the McLean Volunteer Fire Department, local churches, and the businesses that donated food and supplies.
"Small towns are safe because neighbors look out for each other," said Chief Ackerman. "Nights like this remind us that public safety is a partnership."
